London cheered as the Queen Elizabeth II’s birthday was celebrated from June 10-12. Here are the seven unforgettable highlights of Her Majesty’s most splendid moment.

A new official photograph of the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh -- who turned just recently turned 95 -- was released on Friday in honor of their joint birthday.

Thanksgiving Service at St. Paul’s Cathedral

The Queen, Prince Phillip and members of the British Royal Family, attended a thanksgiving service at St. Paul's Cathedral in London to commemorate the Queen’s 90th birthday. Likewise, past and present government officials, politicians, and foreign guests also attended the service. Prime Minister David Cameron and Sir David Attenborough were readers at the service.

Trooping the Colour

This year’s Trooping the Colour saw 1,400 soldiers of the British and Commonwealth armies, 400 musicians and 200 horses and more than 400 musicians make their way down The Mall for this impressive showcase of pageantry, highlighting the sovereign’s Official Birthday.

The Balcony Appearance of the Royal Family

Perhaps, the most anticipated part after the Trooping the Color was the appearance of the Royal Family members on the balcony of Buckingham Palace. Princess Charlotte and Mike Tindall, Zara Phillips’ husband, make their debut this year.

Trooping the Colour wouldn't be complete with the RAF Flypast. Joining the tens of aircraft that soared above Buckingham Palace are two Spitfires, four helicopters and the Red Arrows.

The thousands of fans who spent hours lining Buckingham Palace and the Mall definitely didn’t miss the monarch, thanks to her bright green dress and coat by Stewart Parvin and the matching hat Rachel Trevor-Morgan.

The Patron’s Lunch

On Sunday the Queen hosted a street party for 10,000 people. The Patron's Lunch was held in honor of the 600 charities and organizations of which Her Majesty is patron. Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip rode an open-top Range Rover which drove them from Buckingham Palace across The Mall amidst the thousands of well-wishers.

The Patron’s Lunch was the finale to the three-month birthday celebrations, which started in April, reminding everyone that after the “picnic,” it was time to move on and get back to work.

“I much appreciate the kindness of all your birthday wishes,” she said, “and have been delighted and moved by the many cards and messages I have received.
