Queen Elizabeth II celebrated Maundy Thursday with a touching ceremony, bringing members of the congregation to a teary-eyed moment when Her Majesty gave them commemorative coins in celebration of her upcoming 90th birthday.

Ninety men and 90 women, including pensioners, received two purses -- one white and one red -- during the procession at St. George's Chapel in Windsor Castle. Recipients and guests were seen wiping their tears after spending some time with the monarch and Prince Philip.

Queen Elizabeth II will reach another milestone is her life as she is slated to celebrate her 90th birthday next month.

The Queen looked radiant at the service in her turquoise wool crepe dress and turquoise tweed coat by Karl Ludwig.
